Leasing Opportunities
The Chamber of Commerce works closely with the Manly Centre Manager to maintain a leasing register for property owners, real estate agents and interested incoming businesses, to enable one easy point of contact.
We are striving to reach a balance between strong national and local retailers, restaurateurs and professional service tenants that we can be proud of.
Although we do not deter particular retailers who may make inquires, we do not offer the service simply to ‘fill space’. The goal is to ensure that each operator selected fills a need defined by the community.
The target tenant list is defined by, with preference given to tenants who fall under the below listed requirements:
- Ensure incoming tenants are not from a use that is already saturated.
- Try to ensure that incoming tenants will not cannibalise, but will compliment the sales of existing traders.
- Source tenants with a use that is under represented, but has a market demand.
- Try to find tenants that fit in with the surrounding retailers.
- Where possible try and encourage destinational retail operators - stores that encourage people to come to Manly
- Review if the tenant will compliment the area aesthetically and environmentally.
- Establish if the business is financially stable or has an existing expansion plan.
- Where possible encourage operators that are not currently operating within a 5km radius of Manly.
