Tourism Committee
The Tourism Committee is an initiative of the Chamber and Manly Council, funded by both parties, representing those specific Manly tourism operators who are financial contributors via additional membership fees.
The vision: To raise the awareness in both domestic and international markets about Manly destination products, services, experiences and its unique environment, ensuring sustainable tourism by encouraging visitation to Manly for the benefit of the whole community.
Recent achievement of the Tourism Committee:

Coordinated participation at the 17th Annual Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo.

Secured information booth for a week long period within the Sydney Visitor Information Centre.

Confirmed participation in over five national marketing campaigns supported by Tourism NSW and Tourism Australia.

Arranged a familiarisation program to educate local staff via activities and presentations.

Secured membership with Business Events Sydney and conducted presentations as required.

Strengthened the relationship between Manly operators and Tourism New South Wales via monthly presentation schedule.
Tourism Committee objectives:

Develop cooperative marketing that enhances individual businesses.

Encourage regular communication between Manly VIC, Manly Council and Manly Centre Management to ensure members are promoted and activities are aligned.

Work alongside Council identifying potential tourism grants for the precinct.

Gain exposure for members via participation in suitable tourism campaigns.

Coordinate famils to key industry bodies including Tourism NSW, Tourism Australia, Business Events Sydney, Sydney Visitor Information Centre and ATEC.

Arrange quarterly updates for members on activities, plus presentations by industry specialists.
